Why the Beacon?
"Let us guide you to a safer place."
Like any other symbol, the Lighthouse BEACON symbol is a representation of the type of support that we are using to end domestic violence and sexual assault. As a Survivor, I was inspired by my mother's community service before her untimely death, to be used the unifying symbol represents our goal of zero gender-based violence.
