Live Respect Coaching Healthy & Respectful Manhood — offers coaches, educators, mentors, and youth advocates the tools to build young people of character. Data show that the curriculum significantly increases young people’s understanding of — and commitment to — gender equity and violence prevention. The 6 to 12 week curriculum was written in partnership with Scholastic. The Hattie M. Wiggins Beacon of Light, Inc. is the organization trained to implement this program in this area in partnership with A Call to Men organization. Leaning how to be positive role models takes teamwork. Participants meet weekly (6 weeks) and are enriched with strategies and skills to tackle emotional issues to create outcomes that are respectful and healthy mentally, physically, and spiritually. They are coached by licensed professionals in their field of study and participate in community service, the arts, field trips, and conversations with guests from across the country and world.
